Dear Governor Rendell,
Creating the $95,000, totally
unnecessary consulting position in DCNR for one of your political cronies
in the midst of the current financial crisis is one of the most egregious
acts you have performed. You have supported or initiated the circumvention
of our Constitution on many occasions and now you are again, openly and
shamelessly, violating the trust of hard working State employees and taxpayers.
Yours has been the most arrogant,
self-serving political reign that I have witnessed in my 54 adult years
and in the nine states in which I have lived. I hope you never serve in
any public office again. You have set a high water mark of corruption by
paying off past votes and buying future votes with tax dollars and sadly,
many in our State Legislature have followed your example. Attorney General
Corbett will hopefully soon prosecute a few of them but it will be all
too few.
You had the audacity to
publicly state that Senator Mike Folmer was "certifiable" when he correctly
stated the true increase in last year's budget over the previous year.
Rendell math, logic and statistics over your term have certainly earned
you a far worse and more appropriate title since people who are certified
are not responsible for their actions. You and your power base of corruption
are totally responsible for the state of the Commonwealth.
Take Surra and your other
hacks with you when you leave Harrisburg and please don't come back.
Sincerely,
Stan Alekna
